Dulce De Leche French Toast

The best flavour combo EVER!

Ingredients

French Toast Custard

  • 150ml plant milk based milk
  • 20ml maple syrup
  • 1tsp of vanilla extract
  • 20g salted caramel protein
  • 2 tbs chickpea flour (or corn starch)
  • 6 pieces of low gi white bread
  • nuttelex / vegan butter *

To Serve

Method
  1. Firstly Whip a 1/4 cup of your thickened creamy with 1 tbs of icing sugar. Once nice and thick place in the fridge.
  2. In a wide bowl make you custard by whisking milk , maple syrup & vanilla extract . Once smooth add in flour & protein. Whisk vigorously until combined.
  3. Heat a non stick pan with 8g butter, Dip 2 pieces of bread in the custard to lightly cover each side, place on the pan . Cook one side for 3-4 mins over medium heat and the other side for approx 2 mins. Repeat. Use 8g butter per serve which is 2 pieces of bread. (the custard can be covered and placed in the fridge to use the next day if you don’t use it all)
  4. Slice your banana long ways and lightly grill with a smidge of butter or coconut oil until golden.
  5. Layer your french toast & garnish with your thickened creamy, Caramelised banana (or strawberries), followed by your melted biscoff 👌🏻 Enjoy
